This Boomlagoon Privacy Policy provides information on how Boomlagoon collects and processes personal data, and how it uses that data. This Privacy Policy applies to our games (including Noble Nutlings), as well as our website located at http://www.boomlagoon.com.

Please review this document carefully as we want to make sure you fully understand how your
personal data is used.

Note also that as we want to ensure that this Privacy Policy properly reflects the way we handle your data, we need to reserve the right to make changes to it in our sole discretion whenever it is necessary. Although we will use reasonable efforts to notify you of all substantial changes to this Privacy Policy, you should also do your best to review this document on a regular basis.

1. The type of information we collect

We collect both personal data and non-personal data. By personal data, we mean any information that directly identifies you. By non-personal data, we mean all other information we collect that does not enable you to be identified.

Non-personal data. When you play our games on any platform for which they are made available, we may collect certain information related to your usage of the games, such as i) game progress,
(including your virtual goods inventory, game score, friendlist and sent and received challenges, ii) your device information, iii) your purchase history, iv) your language settings, v) your IP address, and vi) your approximate location.

When you use the Boomlagoon website, our servers (which may be hosted by a third party service provider) may collect information indirectly and automatically (through, for example, the use of your “IP address”) about your activities, including the web pages you view and the times you view them and information about the browser you are using. We use this browsing information for internal purposes such as development of the website and systems administration purposes.

The non-personal data generally does not contain any personal data. However, in some cases non-personal data can be stored together with your personal data in such a way that the non- personal data could be considered to be personal data as well. In such cases we process it in accordance with the provisions of this Privacy Policy.

Personal data. When playing our games using a supported third party service account (such as Facebook or GameCenter), we can collect the personal data you have chosen to make available via that third party service. This personal data can include, but is not limited to your name, email address and gender.

When registering on our website, we collect your name and email address. In connection with the  registration process we can also store data that is considered non-personal data as such, including
your IP address.

2. The purposes for which we use the information

We collect personal data for the purpose of i) enabling us to develop and improve our games by better understanding our target audience, ii) keeping you informed about our services, iii) contacting you in specific cases related to issues you might be experience with your game.

Some of the features in our games might rely on the use of information we have collected from you in order to ensure that the feature in question is customised and targeted for your specific use.

The personal data you provide can also be used for direct marketing unless you let us know that you do not wish to receive such marketing, or marketing from our partners provided that you have given your express opt-in consent.

3. Storing of your personal data

We store and process your personal data (if any) on third party servers (”Hosting Providers”) located in USA or EU that are protected by physical as well as technological security devices. By using the Boomlagoon website or playing our games, you give Boomlagoon Oy a consent to store, process and transfer your personal information (if any) outside of your country of residence within USA or EU. If you object to your personal information (if any) being transferred or used in this way please do not use the Boomlagoon service.

4. Your right to inspect the information

Boomlagoon does not verify the accuracy of the personal data you provide. You have the right to inspect the personal data we have collected about you by sending a written request to our address stated below, together with sufficient proof that enables us to verify your identity.

5. Disclosure of the information to third parties

Apart from Hosting Providers, Boomlagoon does not disclose your personal data to third parties unless

- you have provided us with your express opt-in consent for doing so;
- the disclosure is reasonably necessary for us to be able to enforce our Terms of Service;
- the disclosure is reasonably necessary for the purposes of detecting and preventing fraud or security breaches; or
- applicable law requires us to disclose it.

We may share non-personal data (provided that it does not contain any personal data) to select third parties.

6. Removing of information from the register

You can request the removal of any of your personal data by sending a written request to our address stated below, together with sufficient proof that enables us to verify your identity.

7. Cookies

Our games do not use any cookies. Our website can include third party cookies from analytics services that track your use of the website. We do not collect any personal data via the use of such cookies.

8. Data Security

Boomlagoon uses industry standard security mechanisms to protect the collected personal data. All collected personal data is stored stored in protected databases located behind a firewall and with both physical and software-based access controls provided by our Hosting Provider.

9. General information

The name of the data controller is Boomlagoon Oy (business id: 2473570-6), with the address Sentnerikuja 2, 00440 Helsinki, Finland. The name of the personal data register is the “Boomlagoon Personal Data Register”.

If you are under the age of 13, please ask your legal guardian’s permissions before starting to play any of our games. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please do not use any of the features of our games that require you to provide personal data to us.
